Here in england we have been bombarded with the "white stuff", but what about the rest of the world and in particular Sweden and Norway? Is it all good for the rallies?

So hows the weather round the globe, i expect austrailia and new zealand are burning away!

It's very cold in Norway right now, so the snow and ice should definitely be there in the Norwegian mountain areas.

I'm not in Norway or Sweden, but in Estonia it's really cold (around -20 degrees) and we have loads of snow. Way too cold for me (td)

Hi Nath,

Over here in Australia it's REALLY hot. This week the temperature has ranged from 33C to 41C which is way too hot for my liking! We are also suffering a drought - we haven't had any decent rain in our part of Oz for many months so we could badly do with a good rain storm.

I don't know what would be worse, though : 40+ or -20C!! I'm just glad I'm not a rally mechanic working under the cars in snow!! They sure do a great job.

Hi Army,

New Zealand never really gets too hot to be honest. Here in Wellington last week it got to 28C and that was plenty hot enough. Personally I much prefer the cold as you can always put on more clothes to warm up. Although it never gets to -20C here, its pretty hard to judge the difference.

Im sure the SWRT mechanics certainly have very numb fingers out there in the cold at the moment.

Oh Sorry Dale,

We have been told about that and if you remember I was wondering about the Heavy snow in UK that Day. Hope it won't happen next time.(:w_sunsmiling smiley

Hi Dale,
I'm so sorry about your trip. I heard it from Eileen or from Geir, one of them told me in email to my cell phone, I was heartbroken for you!
I'm happy to say that where I am in Japan there has been no snow this year. Very mild winter. It has been cold but not like it was in past years. Now it is even warming up so much that the Ume (plum blossoms) are in partial to full bloom around the kanto area of Japan! And from Jan 31st they announced the first cedar pollen so those of us with hayfever have been extra miserable! The down side of a warm winter is a longer and earlier cedar pollen season!
Lately we are at 0 to -5 at night and up to 12-15 during the day.
I hope there is tons of snow for the rally in Norway!
Love,
Viki
