Thursday night in Wales
What a great start today – with the fastest time on shakedown! Everything worked OK so I really look forward to start the rally tomorrow, wearing Phils underwear. Yes, that’s correct. “Someone” (read; myself) forgot to put underwear in my bag, so I had to borough some from Phil. And since the owner of the boxers are from Wales, that should give us extra luck, or what?!?!
I’ve spent the afternoon doing interviews and meetings. But I managed to stop by the Rally Norway presentation – and that was important for me to do. After that I had to run down to the organizers autograph session, before Phil and I went to the ceremonial start.
Today Subaru announced that they have chosen BF Goodrich for 2007, and I’m very pleased with that. I feel the competition now will be more fair, when we are all on the same rubber. At the same time, I wish to thank Pirelli for all they have done for the team – and they have made a contribution with all the team WRC-wins.
After having a late, but very good dinner, I’m now ready for my bed.
