Petter retired
On the roadsection between SS5 and SS6 Petter had to retire due to an oil-leak. 12k’s before finish on stage 5 the oil-lamp showed problems, and Petter drove the rest of the stage carefully to save the engine. But after finding a small hole on the oilcooler, they had to stop on the roadsection before SS6 and retire. Both Petter and the car are now beeing transported back to the servicepark, and they are hoping to fix the car and start again tomorrow.

That kinda sucks, but hey look at the bright side, he car is competetive and if you push hard for the next 2 days yor could get some points out of the rally. I know how bad you feel now, feel the same way.

I followed you every ss today , and when I saw the ss 6 message I felt so sorry for you Petter! Now that it looks like the car has potential and everything , and this happens! I wish you and Phil all the greates luck in the future, and I know we will see you as the world champion again! Push on and NEVER give up!

Petter! I was so shocked to hear this news from Eileen this morning! I know you must feel like you’ve been crushed but this time I think you can look to the bright side, the car was showing great potential and we could see you and Chris fighting at the very top where Subaru should be. That is so encouraging. Everyone seemed to think you’d need time to sync with the new car but you seemed to have no problems with getting in sync, you and Chris! This problem set you back but at least you know what you can expect of the new Impreza for the rest of the season performance wise!
Do your best today and fight back! We love you and we are sad but we are behind you as always 110%!
