Hope Petter still continues driving in wrc by some car(Ford).

  5. Geir says:

What a sad day! But I am sure you will find a solution so that we will still see you in WRC (or what will be left of it, anyway)!

  6. Tomo says:

This is very sad. However, you can find next opportunity.

  7. MichalVet says:

I hope that Peter will find a new team and he will be still present in WRC. WRC without SUBARU will never be that same!

  8. Ian Freeman says:

    Gutted. Petter for Ford!!

  9. Tomonori says:

The news was shock to me too.
I was surprised Suzuki suspends yesterday, Subaru is more than it.
I’m sad for we cannot see your drive by Subaru Impreza WRC.

But, I believe that you can get a new seat.
Because you have very good performance and very good fan.

Though we are not near you, we always support you.

  10. subarunut says:

All I can say is thank you Petter and Phil, you always gave your all for Subaru in the good times and especially in the bad, we hope to see you in WRC next year but in the meantime keep smiling we are all behind you.

WRC without blue and yellow cars? it will not be the same.

I think subaru will be back 2010 or 2011 with a new car. The impreza coupe.
The car now cant compete on top level.
    just a hunch.

  14. Harald says:

    I can´t belive it,what a disaster for all !

  15. LoebFan says:

Very unfortunate news for the SWRT crew. Hope Petter finds a drive for next year soon. I hear Adapta WRT are interested in Petter.

Best of luck and hope Subaru return soon in the near future.

  16. David (Wales) says:

As an Official on Rally GB I can say it will not be the same without the Blue and Gold of Subaru. When you think of Rallying, most people think of Subaru. This Media Hype of the “Credit Crunch” has caused a lot of damage, I hope the press are happy with themselves?
Petter will be missed from WRC if he doesn’t get a drive in ’09, I just hope that Subaru will not punish Petters fans and allow him to drive for a different team.

  17. golo says:

Es imposible no ver a subaru corriendo el año que viene, por favor petter porque no arman un equipo privado con los subaru de este año,subaru tiene que estar, por favor habla con david richars,el wrc sin subaru no es lo mismo

  18. KR says:

    SAD! SAD!
However, I think Petter will find a cool way of making his points for 2009 if Subaru accept to let him drive for some other team. I’m sure Subaru will keep the contract with Petter after this, so they can renew the contract from 2010 again when the new regulations starts up – cheaper for them. In the mean time, when the situation is like this Petter, you should try to hook up with your brothers orange team – use some of your cash and get some good marketing out of the mess that Subaru put you in! Good luck Petter !!

  19. kristin says:

This is terrible! I wish both Petter and Phil the best in the future. The championship will not be the same without them!

  20. Liam says:

on a personal note i have meet petter on a number of different times in the past few years and feel him and phill are the best team out there, i would of like to have seen him in a suzuki but there be it… ford will be nice to see him in a car we now is fast on every surface and it has proved this, just dont go FRENCH!!!!!!!!

  21. Tommy says:

    Sad,sad,sad……

  22. KaoulaSu says:

I am also very sad that Subaru decided to withdraw due to the implementation of that stupid S2000 rule starting from 2010 I think.

But I believe with the initiative of Subaru Engineers and the real meaning of WRC to Subaru, we will see a good car that can fulfill the rule in soon.

Peter Solberg and FHI, no matter what happen, We are all on your side!!
