“Petter Solberg and Subaru have agreed that Petter Solberg is free to enter any brand of the car he elects for participation in the WRC in 2009 and beyond.
Petter Solberg will use the nearest future to sort out the possibilities to re-enter the WRC for 2009.”

Well some good news at last eh?? I was worried about the contract to end of 09 but didnt really think they could expect you to honour it when they didnt do it themselves Petter! So heres hoping you get sorted out with another car soon!! Im smiling now!

Does that mean you have totally split up with Subaru? Did this “freedom” mean you had to give up your multi-million income from Subaru for 2009? Og do they still pay you, but since they couldn`t give you any possibility to drive, offered you the freedom to drive whatever car you could get hold of?
Anyway, just hope you`ll GET hold of a TOP car in a TOP team - and get back to WINNING again!!!

I hope that You can get a car of Abu D. BP Ford RS WRC 2009, and not a 2008 Stobart Ford WRC or a 2007 Munchis Ford WRC or something like this. Then you can show everybody how to win a WC. If it was possible to run 3 BP Ford WRC cars in this year, then I think it can be possible to run 4 cars by BP Ford WRT. Well, I wish the best to You an Phill.

I simply cannot see why you deserve a works drive in 2009. You’re a clown, a whinger and have always have an excuse…by blaming someone or something. You won the wrc crown by 1 point and did not deserve it. If it was not for those (dodgy) Pirelli in Corsica, Sebastien would have won his sixth championship…Remember that Chris was quicker pretty well everywhere for the past 2 years yet he never ever bitched - as you so well do. He always admitted his mistakes..and cut the crap. No wonder he has a drive with Citroen M2 in 2009. Does not this say something to you?

Prick of a bloke this guy is… the work that not only petter has done bur phill to have tremendously help the subaru team with development, these two are a idol in motorsport and desevre a drive just because of it . the skill these to have is incredable personally im not goin to watch the WRC until petter and phil are back ive cancelled my ireland trip just GB for me if they return otherwise ill be followin them in what ever,as they bring the entertainment level to a hole new level, there was nothing better than standin out in the welsh forest listen to the note of that S13 impreza with petter hangin the arse out!!!! genius isnt a word he is the rossi of the wrc !!!

Patrick Gree has to be an aussie, coz he clearly not understand the word professional and how to want everything to be perfect as Petter is and want. He want to improve everyting. The reason that the 2′nd driver did not complain has to be that he dont know better and think it is like that it should work with either Pirelli or with that setup on the car. But its your opinion Patrick and u r entitled to have it but i clearly disagree and u can keep it for u self in u mind and dont bather other with it.

Hey Patrik Gree, did you ever think that if Loeb wasn’t driving such a good and reliable car (citroen) he could have never been a world rally champion? Not even once? Can you recall Gronholm’s last 2 years with Peugeot? Pure disappointment. But when he moved to Ford, wins again and again.
I mean that rally drivers in the level of P. Solberg, M. Gronholm, S. Loeb, M. Hirvonen and J-M. Latvala are almost equal in skills so that the reliability and speed of the car can very easily make the difference from minimal to …chaotic!
