Imponerende 3. plass på Kypros!
- Dette er bare så ubeskrivelig deilig! Følelsen av å stå på pallen i dag, med eget team og egen bil, det er bare helt utrolig. Gjengen i teamet er så dyktige, de jobbet nesten to døgn i strekk for å få bilen ferdig, og har stått på som bare det. Stor takk også til alle sponsorer og til Citroen. Ingen ting av dette hadde vært mulig uten dere!
Etter tre spennende dager med rally, kjørte alltså Petter og Phil i dag inn til tredje plass på Kypros. Fredagen startet med mange split-tider helt på linje med de beste, men lørdag så vi antydningen til at noe var på gang. Det startet med noen kjempebra split tider, og endte med beste tid på lørdagens to siste prøver. Søndag startet Petter og Phil på fjerde plass, men allerede på dagens første prøve hentet de inn forspranget til Sordo, og tok over tredje plassen. På de neste to prøvene bare fortsatte Petter med den samme gode farten og tredje plassen var et faktum. Ikke siden 1993 har en privatfører, med privat bil, vært på pallen i et VM rally. Den gangen var det Malcom Wilson som klarte bragden.
Petter Solberg World Rally Team ble også hedret med ”The Abu Dhabi Spirit of the Rally Award” for sin innsats på Kypros.
Rally Kypros ble vunnet av Sebastien Loeb, som i dag tok sin VM-seier nummer 50. Mikko Hirvonen kjørte inn til andre plass. Henning Solberg måtte bryte Rally Kypros på fredag etter en påkjørsel på transport og har kjørt SuperRally lørdag og søndag.
Neste rally er Rally Portugal, 2. – 5. april 2009.

Please, try to save such progress on next rally.
I know fighting for the podium wont be easy. Gronholm is back and if Latvala wont be missing they manage to still the podium in Portugal.
The main thing for you try to be realistic. To show all people your stability crossing the finish line without any probems. Proving that trables was Subaru not YOU..
Then find more sponsors and then you can choose your car which can be much better and competetive not only for podium, because you can figting for the win..
