Da er rally showet straks i gang hos TOOLS i Dusavika. Været er ikke helt på vår side, men stemningen er på topp uansett. Allerede mange spente publikumere på plass!
On Wednesday 25th of August, Petter Solberg World Rally Team and TOOLS will be in Dusavika, Stavanger, with the TOOLS Roadshow. We will have with us our Citroën Xsara and the team-truck, and a special stage is made for the event. Come and watch, we will be there from 1600hrs, and maybe you will be the lucky spectator that gets a ride in the Xsaras codriver seat!
Olivers cross-kart update; Han vant kvalifisering i går, og ledet lenge finalen i dag. Men etter noen runder tok han igjen en kart som hadde stoppet og ble såpass hindret at han mistet ledelsen, men ble allikevel nummer to!
Immediately after a rally is finished, all team members sit down together for a team de-brief. We evaluate the event we just have done, decides on what to do between events, and also discuss the upcoming events. Since rallies are the only time we all get together, this meeting is really important.
Fifth place and 10 points in the Championship is the final result for Petter Solberg and Chris Patterson when an exciting rally in Germany is completed. 2 punctures on Friday cost them a lot of time, but fast and problem-free driving put them back in the list on Saturday. Sunday started with fastest time on two stages, but a damaged clutch nearly trough them out of the rally before the final stage. They lost over a minute on the stage, but made it to the finish line and secured fifth place.
The winner of Rally Germany is Sebastien Loeb, with Dani Sordo second and Sebastien Ogier third. Jari-Matti Latvala ended fourth.
- It has been an incredible rally, says Petter Solberg. – It’s just too bad that we lost so much time on Friday with the punctures. But the stagewin on Panzerplatte Saturday feels so good, as well as the two stage wins we had today. The car works extremely well, and has been perfect. Even though I must admit the clutch gave us some excitement today. But we made it all the way in to Parc Ferme before it gave up, and that gave us 10 important points in the Championship.
- Rally Germany has been a very though rally, says codriver Chris Patterson. – At first it didn’t really go our way at all, but we did good on the second day and I am very happy with the performance on the Panzerplatte-stage. It’s a great feeling to watch the splits coming in, and it is -3, -5, -8 towards Loeb. Day 3 started out well, but then the clutch went, and at one point we didn’t think we could make it – but we did!
