Tonight all the cars went in a convoy up to Illkirch for autograph-session. After signing autographs for 30 minutes they left, again in a police escorted convoy, to the ceremonial start.

Petter and Chris were fastest at todays Shakedown in France. They did a total of 6 runs through the 2,4km long stage, and ended with 1.53,4 as their fastest time. The teams other driver, WTCC-champion Yvan Muller, ended with third fastest time.
Rallye de France sets off with the first stage tomorrow, Friday. First car will be on the road from 0843.

Petter Solberg World Rally Team and Automeca hosted a media-function Wednesday evening to introduce the new part of the team.
Set up is pretty much done, all that’s left is the final preparing of both rally cars. We will be running two cars for this event, one C4 for Petter and the Xsara for Yvan Muller.
It’s rally-week again, and the Petter Solberg World Rally Team is in Strasbourg and ready for the 11th event of the season, Rallye de France. After 35 years on the Mediterranean island Corsica, the event has now moved to the mainland and the Alsace-region.
For the Rallye de France Petter Solberg World Rally Team will run two cars. As usual there is Petters C4, and the second car is Petters Xsara from 2009, which will be driven by 2008 WTCC Champion Yvan Muller. The Xsara will be run in cooperation with Automeca.
- I’m quite excited about another event on tarmac, says Petter Solberg. – We have done a full day of testing before the event, with a good result. Also we know from both Bulgaria and Germany, that we are competitive on tarmac. I also think it will be good fun for all of us to have Yvan with us in the team this weekend, and I’m sure he will enjoy the rally, as the Xsara is amazing on tarmac!
A total of 69 cars are on the entry list for the Rallye de France, and 20 new stages. First stage starts Friday morning.
Petter Solberg scored 18 more points in the Championship with his second place in Japan, and is now 4th in the Championship. But it was not only the 2nd place in Japan that was great. Of a total of 26 stages, Petter and Chris set the fastest stage times on 7 of the stages. Sebastien Ogier ended with 5 stagewins, while Loeb and Latvala took 4 each.
After 10 events, Petter has a total of 40 stagewins. Sebastien Loeb, who is leading the championship, has 71 stagewins, while Sebastien Ogier has been fastest on 33 stages.
