Petter Solberg World Rally Team with two cars in Rallye de France
Alongside the Citroën C4 for Petter Solberg and Chris Patterson, the PSWRT will also run a second car for the upcoming Rallye de France. Frenchman Yvan Muller will drive Petter Solbergs Citroën Xsara, together with codriver Gilles Mondesir. Yvan Muller will enter the rally under Automeca, but the car will be technically runned by the Petter Solberg World Rally Team. The Citroën Xsara is the same car as Petter Solberg used in the championship in 2009 (last event Finland 2009), but with a new chassis.
- I think this will be good fun for both our team and for Yvan, says Petter Solberg. – The Xsara is extremely good on tarmac, and I’m confident Yvan will enjoy driving it. I do know him a bit from before, he is really a great guy, and also a very good driver! I’m sure we will have a great weekend in France, and a good rally.
41 year old Yvan Muller is from the Alsace region of France. He is currently leading the drivers WTCC Championship, 5 points ahead of Gabriele Tarquini. Yvan Mullers team is also leading the Manufacturers Championship. Yvan was WTCC World Champion in 2008.
