The first day of Rally Spain is finished; Petter and Chris are 4th in the overall classification, 22 seconds behind Sebastien Loeb who is leading the rally. Sebastein Ogier is second and Jari Matti Latvala is third. 6 stages are done today, all with mixed surfaces; both tarmac and gravel.
- I’m quite happy with the day, except for that first stage were I lost so much time, says Petter Solberg. – I just couldn’t find any grip at all, and no confidence. Petter and Chris lost 20 seconds on the first stage of the day. – I just had to do some changes after the stage, and the stage win on SS2 showed us I did the right thing. The rest of the day has been good, and I’m going for second place tomorrow!
Rally Spain continues with 6 more stages Saturday, all of them on tarmac. First car will be on the road from 0959.

It’s great to enter our servicearea, and find that we have a lot of guests and supporters waiting and cheering for us. Here I’m talking to some of the guests from Citroën Norway. They certainly know how to make some noise!
After three completed stages in Spain, Petter and Chris are fourth in the overall classification, 23 sekunds behind Sebastien Loeb who is leading the rally. Petter lost 20 seconds on the first stage of the day, but continued with a stage win on SS2 and third fastest on SS3. – Had no grip on the first stage, says Petter Solberg. – Did some changes after that and is really happy about the two next stages. Really disappointed that we lost so much time on the first stage, but happy with stage 2 and 3. Will try to catch up on the afternoon loop.

It’s the first day of Rally Spain, and 6 stages will be run on mixed surface. SS2 and 5 will be on gravel only, while the stages the rest of the day consists of both gravel and tarmac. Cars will be fully set up for gravel today and on gravel tires. Flexi Service this evening will be used to rebuild the cars for the tarmac only stages on Saturday and Sunday.
