For the 2011 season please, PLEASE do not pay Citroen for a ride. After what you accomplished in 2010, Citroen should at least be willing to meet you half way, if not fully fund your 2011 campaign. If the reports about Citroen’s sales increasing so dramatically in Northern Europe and Scandinavia(especially) are accurate, then you and the team were obviously good for business.
There is NO WAY your 2010 car was close to factory specs. Citroen won’t even sell customer cars! Why would they give you an up-to-date machine?
Either way…..I’m blown away by what you accomplished in 2010. NOBODY else would have pulled that off. NOBODY. Best of luck in 2011…….Hopefully Ford completes those ten Fiestas and we get to see you behind the wheel of one. Not only will you be fighting for victory….you’ll be taking them.
I’ll leave you with a quote taken from the article off of WRC.COM entitled “Four Citroen DS3′s planned for Sweden.”
and I quote:
“We have a lot of demand but we would prefer to have the drivers with the budget who are also very fast,” said Quesnel.
Seriously….that kind of Business Practice is not only bad and damaging towards this sport we all love……..it’s the type of business practice that’s plunging our world into chaos.
Sorry….but I had to say this. You deserve way more.
