Petter Solberg signs with major sponsors.

Petter Solberg have now signed up with two major sponsors; EnterCard and TOOLS. Both have been with the team since the start in 2009, and the new deal makes EnterCard and TOOLS a big part of the team for 2011.

- I am very pleased that both EnterCard and TOOLS decided to stay with us in the Petter Solberg World Rally Team for one more year, says Petter Solberg. – It is important for us to have dedicated and professional sponsors, and our podium in the Championship last year would not have been possible without them.

EnterCard and re:member have been well displayed on the rallycar for the last seasons, and will also be a big part of the team in 2011. TOOLS are also supplying the team with all the tools and equipment the team needs to run a rally-car.

The first event this year is Rally Sweden, 10 – 13 Februar 2011, where Petter will compete in a Citroën DS3 WRC.

Even if nothing is decided regarding the new season, the guys at the workshop are fully occupied. David Graham is preparing the hospitality-truck for a new year and Ole Johan is working on cross-karts. And young Oliver came to visit.

It’s a brand new year, a new season and new cars. 13 events are on the calendar and it’s just a month to go before Sweden gets the season started.

There are 10 events to go in Europe (Jordan included) and 3 long-hauls (Mexico, Argentina and Australia). Sweden will hopefully bring on snow and ice, Germany, France and Spain will offer tarmac-action and the 9 remaining will be on gravel. Or mud – depends on the weather!

New for this season is the Power Stage. A stage to be run on the last day of the rally, and to be broadcasted on live-TV. This is also a chance for both driver and codriver to score some extra points in the Championship. The winner gets 3 points, second 2 points and third gives you 1 point. The purpose of the Power Stage is to enhance TV coverage.

Petter Solberg will start his 2011 season with Monte Carlo Rally 19 – 22 January. After that – well, nothing is decided yet.
