Final day in Finland is coming up, Petter and Chris is fourth in the overall classification, only 29 seconds behind the rally leader. They will run as car number 4 on the road today. A long day is ahead, including 11 stages.

End of Day 2

Petter and Chris hold fourth place on day two of Rally Finland.

The first stage of the morning on day two of Rally Finland saw Petter and Chris move up an overall position to fourth, which they were to hold for the rest of the day.

After his challenging day yesterday, Ford’s Mikko Hirvonen was to dominate the stage wins on day two, taking five of the eight stages. Citroën driver Sebastien Loeb held onto his overnight lead, despite being first on the road, until SS9, the longest stage of the rally, when it was taken by his team mate Sebastien Ogier. This longest stage was followed by the shortest stage, 2km Jokimaa; the trotting track in Lahti which was run as a two-by-two course where Loeb, running on the outside of Ogier, was to suffer a cracked windscreen due to the gravel kicked up by his team mate. Ogier took the stage win, while Petter and Chris were fourth fastest through after also running on the outside loop on their lap.

Loeb and Ogier were to swap places once more on the last stage of the day with Loeb once again taking the overnight lead. Ford’s Jari-Matti Latvala finished the day in third position ahead of Petter and Chris.

- Today has been OK, says Petter Solberg. – Nothing special to report, I have been pushing all day. Did some changes to the set up at midday service, but that did not work out. Will continue to try tomorrow. Have to mention that the atmosphere out on the stages is really good, so many people!

Rally Finland continues with eleven stages tomorrow, including the final Power Stage, which will be broadcast live on TV. The first car will be on the road from 0758 local time.
